DATE/TIME: Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 3:39 pm

INCIDENT: Threatening Graffiti

LOCATION: Yucaipa High School 33000 Yucaipa Boulevard, Yucaipa

SUSPECT: Unknown at this time

On Thursday, March 15, 2018, at approximately 3:39 pm, the Yucaipa Police Department was contacted by staff at the Yucaipa High School following the report by a student that she saw a message containing threatening language on the wall of the girl’s bathroom. Deputies responded to the school and immediately began an investigation.

The nature of the anonymous threat was not specific to any particular student or employee at the school. There is nothing at this point to indicate that the threat is credible. Investigators are working with Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District staff in an effort to identify the person who left the graffiti and to ensure the safety of all students and employees.

Captain James Williams of the Yucaipa Police Department would like to remind area students that messages containing threats to the safety and wellbeing of students and/or staff will be taken seriously. A thorough investigation will be conducted, and persons found responsible could face criminal charges.
