DATE/TIME: March 29, 2018

INCIDENT: PC 459 – Residential Burglary

LOCATION: 13300 Block Oak Glen Road; City of Yucaipa
36900 Block Wildwood Canyon Road; City of Yucaipa

SUSPECTS: Shaylee Gibbons, 19 years old, resident of Calimesa
Hispanic female, 16 years old, resident of Yucaipa

On March 28, 2018 at approximately 4:36 PM, Yucaipa Police Deputies were dispatched to a residential burglar alarm at a residence in the 13300 block of Oak Glen Road. Deputies arrived to find evidence of forced entry into the home. Investigation revealed the suspects entered the home, but couldn’t remove any items, as they were scared off the by audible burglar alarm. During that investigation, at about 4:55 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call from a resident down the street in the 36900 block of Wildwood Canyon, who advised he arrived home to find two female subjects stealing items from his residence and placing the items into their awaiting vehicle. As the victim called 911, the two female subjects fled the scene on foot, climbing the hill into a dense wooded area which leads to another residential neighborhood. The two female suspects left their vehicle and personal belongings behind.

Sheriff’s Deputies, Detectives and Sheriff’s Aviation units arrived and conducted an extensive search of the area for both suspects, however they were able to elude capture. At about 6:45 PM, a concerned citizen in the 36900 block of Oak View Rd called 911 and stated an unknown female subject just ran out of their yard. Deputies immediately responded and located a 16-year-old juvenile attempting to flee the area on foot. It was determined that the 16-year-old female was one of the suspects involved in both burglaries. The 16-year-old juvenile was placed under arrest and booked into the San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall, where she is being held without bail.

Evidence located in the vehicle left behind helped to identify the second female suspect as, 19-year-old Shaylee Gibbons, a resident of Calimesa. As of March 29, 2018, detectives have been unable to locate Shaylee Gibbons. Gibbons is currently wanted in connection to both residential burglaries. Additionally, Gibbons has an active arrest warrant for her arrest on an un-related case.

It is believed that Gibbons is hiding out with friends in the Yucaipa area. Detectives are releasing a prior 2017 booking photo of Gibbons. Detectives are asking anyone with information on Gibbons whereabouts to contact the Yucaipa Police Department.
