Home Invasion

On June 1, 2018 at approximately 8:10 pm, officers from the Township of Hamilton Police Department responded to Brecknock Court for the report of a home invasion.

The investigation revealed that an unknown black male forced entry into the home, which was occupied by a 47/M and a 18/M. The suspect was confronted by the homeowner (the 47/M) and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, the suspect struck the victim in the head with a crowbar and bit his arm, before fleeing out of the residence. He was last seen running through the woods toward Cologne Avenue.

The suspect was described as being in his late 20's to early 40's, stocky build with a medium complexion, a shaved or bald head, and a beard,  wearing a gray tee-shirt, gray sweatpants, and a gray hat.

The victim was treated at the scene by the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad and ultimately transported himself to the hospital for further evaluation. The 18 year-old was not injured. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Larry Fernan at 609-625-2700 x 575.
