NATIONAL NIGHT OUT: TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 2018
Neighborhoods throughout Redondo Beach are invited to join over 38 million neighbors across approximately 16 thousand communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide for National Night Out. National Night Out is nationally sponsored by NATW, Dietz and Watson, Ring, Associa, Package Guard and co-sponsored locally by the Redondo Beach Police Department.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Together, we are making that happen. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., neighbors throughout Redondo Beach and across the nation are encouraged to lock their doors, turn on their front porch lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law enforcement.

National Project Coordinator, Matt Peskin said, “This is a night for our nation to stand together and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement. When law enforcement and the community work closely together, some amazing things can happen.”

The Redondo Beach Police Department will visit more than five Neighborhood Watch blocks that will be participating in this event between 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Public Safety Commissioner Jeff Gaul is hosting a large gathering at Anderson Park (located at 2229 Ernest Av.) from 5 PM to 9 PM, see attached flyer.

If you live in Redondo Beach, but are not involved in a Neighborhood Watch block, please get involved by contacting Dinah Lary at (310) 379-2477 x2852 or by email at dinah.lary@redondo.org
