Threat at Escondido High School

On 9-28-18, at 1147 hours, the Escondido Police Department received an anonymous tip of a threat of violence at the Escondido High School football game tonight at 7pm. The threat appears to have originated on social media. EPD is currently tracking down the information to determine the validity and origins of the threat. EPD is working closely with the Escondido Union High School DIstrict on this matter.

As an extra precaution, the Escondido Police Department will have additional officers at the football game. If any suspicious behavior is seen at the game contact school staff or the police department.

We are asking that if anyone has information related to these threats to call the police department at 760-839-4722.
