Police Seek Public's Help in locating dog and dog owner from a dog bite near West High School on 02/06

On Wednesday, February 6th between 3 and 3:30pm a young girl was bitten by a small Shi Tzu type dog while walking westbound on Shawano Avenue. The dog was small white and tan shih tzu or similar breed dog and was being walked by an older female with gray hair, glasses, and a white coat.

This occurred near the 800-900 blocks of Shawano Avenue near the West Side Community Policing Center just east of West High School.

We are asking that the owner of the dog contact the Green Bay Police so that we can complete the animal bite report and verify the dog has been vaccinated for rabies. Anyone who may know the owner and dog can also call us at 920-448-3208.

This would prevent the young lady who was bitten from having to go through painful and unnecessary rabies exposure shots. If the animal is known and current on its shots she can avoid having to do that.

Thank you for any information you can provide reference this case.
