Drug Arrest
Location: Lafayette Street and Aldo Avenue
An officer observed a vehicle traveling on Lafayette Street near Aldo Avenue with expired registration. A registration check confirmed such, and the officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop. The officer made contact with the male subject who displayed objective symptoms of stimulant use. A controlled substance and drug paraphernalia were located and the subject was arrested.

Residential Burglary
Location: 2300 Block of Alberta Court
A victim contacted Public Safety Dispatchers regarding a residential burglary.
Through investigation, officer’s learned an unknown suspect(s) accessed the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed a remote garage door opener. The remote was used to gain access to the garage on 3/4/19 at approximately 0329 hours. The suspect(s) stole an air compressor and approximately $70 in cash. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Traffic Accident
Location: Lafayette Street and Great America Way
Officers responded to a rollover accident on Lafayette Street and Great America Way.
A vehicle had rolled onto its’ side and was on the train tracks that run along Lafayette Street. Train traffic had to be stopped until the vehicle was cleared. There were no injuries.

Found Property
Location: Police Building, 601 El Camino Real
An individual turned in a wallet to law enforcement personnel at the Police Building.
The wallet contained a driver’s license, cash and several miscellaneous cards. Police personnel were able to locate a contact phone number for the rightful owner and made an attempt to contact the owner accordingly.

Steps to Take to Prepare Before You Lose Your Wallet
Make life easier! Now that you know all of the hoops you will need to jump through to replace the items in your wallet / purse and protect your identity, take these simple precautions:
• Strip your wallet / purse of anything you don’t really need (e.g. SSN card, checkbook, health insurance card, gift card, passwords, personal identifying information, etc.)
• Never keep your SSN card or PIN numbers in your wallet / purse
• Photocopy everything that is in your wallet / purse
• Contact your bank to see if they offer text notification for charges to your credit card
• Turn on any two-step verification features your financial institution may offer
• Be aware of your surroundings and keep an eye on your belongings (e.g. never leave a purse or wallet in a shopping basket, in-sight in a parked car or anywhere else criminals may have easy access)

What to do Immediately After Losing Your Wallet / Purse
As soon as you realize your wallet or purse is missing - whether it is lost or stolen - immediately take steps to reduce the chance of being a victim of identity theft or having unauthorized charges to your accounts.
• Retrace your steps from the last time you saw the item (e.g. restaurant, work, store, school, home, etc.)
• Notify the bank that issued your credit, debit or ATM card and cell phone carrier
• If your checkbook disappears, close the account and reconfigure any direct deposits and auto-payments
• Report the loss or theft to the Police Department via an online report, or by calling the non-emergency phone line at (408)615-5580
When doing so, you will need:
- Where and when you believe you lost, or had your wallet stolen
- Description of the wallet / purse
- List of everything in the wallet / purse(e.g. amount of cash, credit cards, etc.)
- Suspect description, if any
- Card number of any cards used as well as location, date, time and amount of transaction
• If key(s) are missing, change the locks to your home and vehicle
• If your social security card is missing, initiate a fraud alert or credit freeze and monitor your credit report at

Location: 3000 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard
While conducting a separate investigation, an individual approached an officer on the 3000 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard regarding a subject who had just run out of a nearby business with a large quantity of clothes. While the officer broadcasted the information, Public Safety Dispatchers also received calls regarding a strong-arm robbery in progress at the same location. Officers located two suspects matching the subject’s description on Winchester Boulevard and Olin Avenue.
The suspects exited the store with over $1,000 worth of merchandise without attempting to pay for the items. When confronted by Loss Prevention officers, both suspects became combative and assaulted the employees. One Loss Prevention officer was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail. The property was recovered.

Warrant Arrest
Location: The Alameda and Newhall Street
An officer observed a vehicle with expired registration and initiated a traffic enforcement stop. The vehicle was occupied by a male driver and two passengers, one male and one female. When the officer approached the driver, drug paraphernalia was visible inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded a bag of counterfeit currency and supplies indicating an active counterfeit operation.
A Records check of the driver revealed a suspended driver’s license. He was arrested. The male passenger claimed ownership for the drug paraphernalia. He was arrested. The female suspect had six warrants for her arrest. She was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Drug Arrest
Location: Haig Street and Laurie Avenue
An officer observed a vehicle near Laurie Avenue and Haig Street with a non-functioning brake light. The officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop. The officer approached the vehicle occupied by a female driver and female passenger. A Records check revealed the passenger was on searchable probation out of Alameda County. A search of the vehicle revealed three types of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Both suspects were arrested.
