Detectives & Probation Officers recover 3 stolen vehicles and arrest a parolee

DATE/TIME: April 9, 2019

INCIDENT: Grand Theft Auto / Recovery of Three Stolen Vehicles

LOCATION: 35000 block of Crestview Dr., Yucaipa

SUSPECT: Timothy Converse, 35-year-old San Bernardino resident

On April 5, 2019, the victim reported his 16’ box trailer, containing a dune buggy, stolen from the driveway of his home.

Video surveillance captured a silver Ford pickup truck and a Hispanic female hooking the trailer up to the truck. An attentive neighbor saw the suspicious activity and got the plate from the truck. During the initial investigation, Yucaipa Police Department investigators quickly identified the female suspect and began to search for her.

On April 9, 2019, detectives and San Bernardino County Probation Officers searched a residence in the City of San Bernardino they believed was linked to the suspect. There, they located Timothy Converse and Inisha Jaramillo, in possession of a travel trailer reported stolen out of Yucaipa approximately one month ago.

Although the stolen cargo trailer and sand rail were not at the San Bernardino residence, detectives linked the suspects to another address in the City of Rialto. They responded to that residence and located the stolen cargo trailer and the stolen sand rail. These items were returned to the victim.

Converse was booked at West Valley Detention Center for violating his parole. Charges against Converse and Jaramillo relating to the multiple vehicle thefts are pending review by the District Attorney.
