Gang Participant Arrested with Stolen Gun and Narcotics for Sale (19-6711)

On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Santa Rosa Police Department Gang Crimes Team served a search warrant in the 600 block of Spencer Ave. 
During the service of the search warrant, detectives located a loaded semi-automatic handgun with a tactical light and laser, large quantity of ammunition, narcotics, and narcotics packaged for sale.  See attached photograph. 
The loaded semi-automatic handgun was later determined to have been stolen in Santa Rosa.
Jesus Calderon Avalos was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility for the following charges: PC 12022(a)(1) – Armed while Committing Felony, HS 11350 – Possession of Narcotics, HS 11351 – Possession of Narcotics for Sale, HS 11370.1 – Possession Controlled Substance while Armed, PC 496(a) – Possession of Stolen Firearm, and PC 1203.2 – Violation of Probation.
